Rockaway Borough PD receives hundreds of emergency calls a month and thousands of records need to be electronically documented. Police officers cannot spend time worrying about their computers, network or servers due to the critical nature of the law enforcement business.
They needed an IT firm that could help them maintain their IT compliances as required by the New Jersey State Police, while providing a reliable, secure and tested disaster recovery and fail-over solution.
Solution

Zaphyr’s team helped re-design their network for high availability, thus ensuring that critical business software such as their CAD (Computer-Aided-Dispatch) software runs without any downtime. Zaphyr also helped implement a Data Backup and Recovery solution that ensured absolute minimal loss of business data in the event of a server disaster.
In 2003 Rockaway Borough PD signed an Annual Support Contract with Zaphyr for complete IT support services and on-going technical support and proactive maintenance of the police department, with nearly 85% of their issues now being resolved remotely.
